Recently, BET announced the nominees for this year BET Awards. This year’s awards will be hosted by stand-up comedian D. L. Hughley. I wonder how that will be play out on BET because we all know how BET is about their “language”.

Both Quincy Jones and Al Green will be honoured at the awards for their contribution to black music and culture. From Micheal Jackson to Will Smith to ?uestlove to John Legend, both men have definitely made a huge impact on black entertainment and music of today.

Performing at this year’s award, they got the hottest artists of 2008 which includes Lil Wayne, Kanye West Rihanna, Chris Brown, Usher, Alicia Keys, Marvin Sapp, Ne-Yo and Nelly

I am excited about this category because listed are all my favourite blog site. I am not sure if Perez should even be on this list. There were so many other that they could of choose from incl. Nahright, Crunk & Disorderly, Necole Bitchie, and The Smoking Section. Maybe The Young, Fresh & New will make the list next year – we’ll see.
