Events: 2008 VH1 Hip Hop Honors – Honorees Announced

VH1 has announced the honorees for this year’s Hip Hop Honors. Honorees include De La Soul, Naughty By Nature, Cypress Hill, Slick Rick and Too Short. Guest Apperances have been confirmed and include Q-Tip, Lil Wayne, Kid Rock, MC Lyte Ghostface Killah, Bun B, Sanaa Lathan, Biz Markie, Big Boi and many, many more! The show will be hosted by comedian and hip hop lover Tracy Morgan.
In addition, VH1 have added two hip-hop themed shows as VH1 prepares its journey to the 2008 VH1 Hip Hop Honors. It will launch “100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs” which will be a five-part series counting down the greatest songs in hip hop and showing original interviews from LL Cool J, Salt-N-Pepa, Run DMC, Outkast and many more. As well, VH1 will do a documentary on “The World’s Most Dangerous Group – NWA” narrated by Chris Rock and will feature interview with Ice Cube, Eazy-E’s wife Tomicka Wright, Dr. Dre, Ice-T and more. Both shows will air on VH1 on Sept 29th and Oct 3rd on VH1. Check local listing for the time.
