Live Performances: Nas at Rock The Bells 2009 in Toronto
Sunday July 5th, Rock The Bells stopped in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheatre where many big hip hop artists performed. Unfortunately I didn’t make it out but I heard great things about the event especially Nas. ThanksĀ forzaferrarif1fan via Youtube, I found some footage from Nas’ set at Rock The Bells. Nas performed some of his classics songs including “The World is Yours,” “If I Ruled The World” and “Hip Hip is Dead”. Peep the footage.
Side note: Anyone who attended the event, can you please tell me what the eff Mos Def was doing at the show?

Too bad you missed it…this was my sencond Rock the Bells. My first was in San Fran 3 yrs ago. NAS was dope as always…but for me it was Damion Marley, and KRS. These were the only Cats I hadn’t seen besides Tech 9 and Big Boi. As for MOS well I’ve seen him three times and everytime it’s a spiritual journey, he has a tendency to go off into his own land. I have yet to see him do his ‘known’ songs back to back during his sets. Regardless he’s dope, and soooo cute. Thanks Rock the bells
Mos Def was at the show because Common couldn’t make it up and got switched for Mos Def within a few days of the show.
The show was definitely dope. You should try to make it out to next year’s!
