Fashion Trends: Lance Gross Wearing Baby Pink Pants – Love It or Hate It?

    May 10.09 @ 4:04 pm
    Posted By: admin

    Photo taken from Concreteloop.com

I was browsing on one of my favorite blogs Concreteloop.com and spotted Lance Gross rocking baby pink pants. Lance kept it simple by wearing a white button up shirt with a plain white v-neck shirt and some white sneakers. He also complimented the look with a straw fedora hat.

Within the last year, we have seen females rocking bright colored pants and now the baby colored pants are hitting the 2009 summer trends. The spring weather is beginning to settle in and summer is right around the corner, are we going to see more men wearing colored pants? I kinda hope so. I think it’s going to be interesting to see how men pull of this look.

Men – Would you rock colored pants? If so, what colors would you wear. Let me know your thoughts & vote.

What Do You Think About Lance Gross' Baby Pink Pants?

On Air: Ciara performs “Love, Sex & Magic” & “Never Ever” on Saturday Night Live

    May 10.09 @ 3:00 am
    Posted By: admin

Ciara performed “Love, Sex & Magic” for the first time on television (or atleast what I can recall) on Saturday Night Live. I was a little distracted with Ciara singing off key but the overall performance was HOT!  She is lucky that she didn’t really suffer a case of Ashlee Simpson but in this case she might as well lip-synced. Thank god Ciara can use her dancing as a backup plan. I guess you can’t have perfect performances all the time. On the other hand, I would of loved to seen Justin Timberlake do more on the stage rather than playing keys. Love the way how Jessica Biel gave the introduction for the performance.

You can be the judge and watch the performance for yourself. Let me know what you think. Also, peep the Never Ever performance too.

On Air: Justin Timberlake “Mother Lover” skit on Saturday Night Live (May 9th)

    May 10.09 @ 1:53 am
    Posted By: admin

Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live for the third time on May 9th. He started off with a song as he describe that he already knows his place around the Saturday Night Live set. In my opinion, ALL of the skits pretty much FAILED as most of them were sequels from his previous appearance (Dick in a Box, Welcome to Homelessville, Bee Gee’s show). One skit that I did find hilarious was the “Mother Lover” with Andy Samberg. It was their tribute to Mother’s Day. The skit and the song speaks for it self.

I will have the rest of the skits when they become available. ENJOY!

That’s What’s Up: Blake Carrington “Give Me My Yeezy” featuring O’Sound

    May 10.09 @ 12:42 am
    Posted By: admin

My homie Ron Dias hit me up on Twitter sending me a video that Blake Carrington and O’Sound did. “Give Me My Yeezy” is a clever yet funny track about waiting in line and not being able to get the Air Yeezy. Although I am not a sneaker fan (I know, I know – I am just NOT that kind of girl). I have read about people waiting in line for 24 hours or more just so they can be one of the first to get them.

“Give Me My Yeezy” is over infamous Kanye West “Heartless” beat. Blake keeps going and going and has been working on his mixtape Welcome to Blake Carrington’s World which will be dropping real soon. Stay Tuned. The blog will be one of the first place to download the mixtape.

Peep the video and tell me what you think! CONTINUE READING>>>

New Music: Sophia Fresh “Do The Dance”

    May 10.09 @ 12:09 am

It’s been a HOT minute since we have last seen a female r&b trio. Well look no further, T-Pain has taken the initiative by executing producing a HOT new r&b group Sophia Fresh. Cole Rose, Skye and Crystal are signed to Atlantic Records and is awaiting the release of their debut album. Sophia Fresh is described as Hip Rock meet R&B. They released their first video “What It Is” a few weeks ago and is still pushing to get fan support. The video features a cameo from my favorite male r&b group of the moment Day 26.

“Do the Dance” is a interesting track. I would like to hear the track without the auto-tun. This track also samples the 2007 song “D.A.N.C.E.” by Justice

Peep the track , vote & watch the music video.

New Music: R. Kelly “Supaman High” featuring OJ Da Juiceman

    May 8.09 @ 4:22 pm
    Posted By: admin

Here is the official first single by R. Kelly called “Supaman High” featuring OJ Da Juiceman. R. Kelly didn’t stay away from the auto-tune but he uses it with minimal use. After listening to the track several times, it is growing on me and has a potential to be a Club Banger. I wonder how the clubs will react to this track?  R. Kelly is slated to release his upcoming “UNTITLED” album in late August, but we all know that’s gonna get pushed back.

Listen to the track, vote & tell me what you think.

The DC native recently shot the video for his single “Chillin” featuring Lady Gaga. The video is directed by Chris Robinson and features cameo appearances from Bun B, Young Chris and Tre. I didn’t see Lady Gaga in the footage but I am hoping she will be in the video. Check it out! Can’t wait to see the final product!

Music Videos: Melanie Fiona “Give It To Me Right”

    May 8.09 @ 1:12 pm
    Posted By: admin

The official first video for Melanie Fiona hit single “Give It To Me Right” is here! This is the first single from her debut album The Bridge which slated for a late July – early August release. This song has been getting a lot of attention on the radio across North America. I am glad to see that people are NOT sleeping on her. What’s there to sleep on – she’s has an amazing voice, a very humble spirit and a talent singer/songwriter. I wonder who she will be writing for next?

The Toronto native is doing it BIG in the U.S. She is currently doing promo tour across the United States and I am patiently waiting for her to return to the T. Dot to perform.

The music video is simple and I love it. There’s a lot of focus on her and her music. That’s what it’s about! Peep the shoe game in the music video. HOTTTTTTTTTT. Toronto Represent! Also – check out Melanie singing the American National Anthem. All I can say is WOW!!!! Enjoy!

Mixtape Special: Crooks & Castles presents Diz Gibran “Soon You’ll Understand”

Last week I received a link to check out an album by L.A. emcee Diz Gizbran called Soon You’ll Understand. which is presented by Crooks & Castles. The album was released on April 7th is available to download for free on his website diznmoon.com.

Diz Gibran’s lyricism is beyond crazy if you ask me. He keeps each track consistent while he displays a solid form of what hip hop is about. You think hip hop is dead, well think again because Diz Gibran is among many others who are here to stay. The production and lyrics of “Impossible,” “The Hardest Word” and “Just Me” caught my ears right away. The whole album is produced by Queens, NY newcomer Moonshine who is definitely on the come up to keep hip hop alive! Hopefully after you download the album – you will understand what he is talking about!

As for upcoming projects, Diz Gibran is working on shooting music videos, doing some remixes and performing all over the country. Please DO NOT sleep on this guy! Keep your ears and eyes on both Diz Gibran and Moonshine.

Special thanks to Drewtek who put me on to this album in which he helped mixed and mastered it. Also, check out the video from the album release party.

Download the album and add him on myspace & twitter. Enjoy!
