Rihanna has released a third track off her re-released multi-platinum album “Good Girl Gone Bad. This track definitely had a pop, dance appeal and sounds similar to “SOS” Not sure who produced this track but be sure to leave a comment about your thoughts.

The 2nd Annual Stylus BBQ and Music Trivia Challenge took place yesterday (June 1, 08) at Montana’s (John & Richmond). With DJs spinning and label reps giving everyone a taste of what’s to come this summer, it was definitely the place to be on a Sunday afternoon. For those who were there got a peak of some local talents incl. Zaki Ibrahim, Mayhem Morearty, Shannon and Kardinal Offishall and many from our neighbors south of the border incl. Lil Wayne, Usher, and N*E*R*D. Later in the evening, the music trivia challenge kicked off with four teams. (Team Fragile, Agile & the Cult Jam, Team Spinaholics, Team 45 Kings and a Queen and Team Do the Knowledge. I must admit there were a lot of hard questions but there were alot of those (OMG – how could you not know the answer!!!) And as Scratch said, “Good Timesssssss”. After a brutal challenge, Team 45 Kings and a Queen (Jester, Lissa Monet & Fin-S) took the throne. Congrats to all the DJs who took part in the trivia and held it down!!!! And a special thanks to Mike Z, Click, Nigel, Stylus Team, Scratch, Shaman Fam and Real Mark Global Group for making this event possible.

Last Night, Asphalt Regime, Universal Urban and Livestock hosted the N*E*R*D’s “Seeing Sounds” Album Listening Party at Livestock (located at 116 Spadina Ave.) People got a chance to preview the album, have drinks and appetizers, and network. Listening to the album, it definitely has their traditional N*E*R*D’s sound (hip hop, funk and experimental rock) and can definitely appeal to anyone who listens to any of the genre mentioned above. Personally, I don’t think its better than their last two but I’m sure after a few listening runs of the album, it will definitely fit the scale. Remember June 10th, 2008 – N*E*R*D – “Seeing Sounds” in stores.

Earlier this week, Usher made an appearance on MTV’s TRL. While being interviewed by Damien, Usher decided to take it upon himself to takeover TRL. Peep this:
Also, Usher was on Saturday Night Live two weeks ago (May 17, 2008) and during their weekly news segment he wanted to set some things straight. Take a look:

Last week (Wed May 21), I got a chance to check out one of the hottest concert of the year – “Glow In The Dark Tour”. Performing in order – Lupe Fiasco, N*E*R*D, Rihanna and of course, the genius Kanye West. Unfortunately, I got there a bit late and missed Lupe’s set. From what I’m hearing, homeboy did like three tracks. No Comments there. It was definitely a wrap when N*E*R*D took over the stage. I must say they need to come back to the T.DOT cause they had that raw energy that got the crowd moving. During the performance of “Spazz” a special guest and Rihanna’s suppose “BFF” Chris Brown came out crumping and acting wild. I guess the rumors are true. Shoot, I wish I can go on tour and don’t have to do anything.LOL
